Kwatampora Alex Binego
President
Mr. Kwatampora Alex Binego is the President of Geological Society of Uganda (GSU), a Senior Ugandan Professional Geoscientist (PG
# 2843), and an expert in Mining and Engineering Geology,
Geotechnical Engineering, Geophysics, Seismology, Construction Materials and Quality Control Engineering.
His Professional membership includes being a Member - International Association for Promoting Geo-Ethics (IAPG), Life member of Geological Society of Uganda, Uganda Seismic Safety Association (USSA), Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists (AEG) Geological Society of Uganda, Uganda Seismic Safety Association (USSA), Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists (AEG), Uganda Chamber of Mines & Petroleum (UCMP) and has Technical experience of 28 years in many countries in the world.

Ritah Mugala
Vice President
An experienced consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the environmental services industry. Currently working as a Hydrogeologist consultant at ELARD Uganda limited. She holds the position of Vice President Geological Society of Uganda. She has a Master of Science Degree in Petroleum Geochemistry from the United Kingdom and a BSc in Geological Resources Management from Makerere University.
She is a celebrated alumnus of the Commonwealth scholarship 2013-2014. She has worked in the Earth sciences industry for 10 years now, with a strong background in the water and environmental sector, petroleum and mining departments

Justin Jordan PIDHO
Committee Member (Journal Editor)
Pidho is a Journal Editor with GSU and a registered Reviewer under Elsevier with several publications. Jordan holds a BSc (Geology) and an MSc in Petroleum Geosciences from Makerere University and a PhD in Well Engineering from China University of Petroleum (East China).
Pidho is an expert with skills in several rock mechanics experiments and finite element numerical methods in solving real life well engineering problems; wellbore, mine & slope instabilities; enhanced geothermal recovery optimization; deformation and integrity of subsurface oilfield waste reinjection wells; carbon dioxide capture and subsurface storage.

Hillary Mumbere
Committee Member (Digital Transformation)
Mr. Mumbere is a multi-talented professional with a blend of experience in the fields of Information Systems, Hydrogeology, and Petroleum engineering. He has worked with various multinational organisations including United Nations, Optimum Earth and WE Consult providing them with innovative solutions for complex projects. He is fluent in English and French languages.
To GSU, he brings Charisma, digital transformation, and vast leadership experience.
He is an alumnus of the Pan-African Leadership Institute. And holds an MSc in Information Systems and a BSc in Petroleum Geoscience & Production.

Elizefani Kasakya
Committee Member
Professional Geoscientist holding a BSc. Petroleum Geoscience and Production from Makerere Univer-sity. Certified by; Central University of Karnataka, India (GIS), IADC (Drilling operations), IWCF (Well Control), Sunmaker 0/G institute (HSE), and TPA (Seismic data Interpretation).
DD Engineer at COSL, Co-founder (Inclusive Dialogue on Energy in Africa), GIS Instructor (Learn GIS with KASAKYA Initiative), MD (Covellite Investments Ltd) and previously at Samta Mines as Exploration Geologist/GIS Lead.
Experience: Mineral Exploration, Directional drilling, Field Development and Evaluation. Membership: GSU, IJSER, AAPG, SEG, EAGE, SPE, and MPGS. Energy development, Innovation, and Knowledge sharing is of utmost sentiment to him.

Aminah Mayole

Geoscientist holding a BSc in Petroleum Minerals Mgt and Technology from Nkumba University and pursuing a master's degree in Monitoring and Evaluation from Uganda Management Institute. She is GIS certified by Central University of Karnataka, India and a professional member of Geological Society of Uganda and Society of Petroleum Engineers.
She is a Geoscientist/GIS Analyst at Icon Geoengineering Solutions Ltd and a Projects coordinator/GIS Analyst at Big Solutions Group Limited.
