Our Up-coming Engagement and Activities
1. UNIVERSITY TOUR:
A number of universities are to be listed with their respective courses that are aligned in the GEOSCIENCES field.
This activity is to take place in the months of MARCH – JUNE.
Universities to visit are as follows: Makerere university,
Kyambogo university,
Mbarara university,
IUEA university,
King Caesar university,
Victoria university,
Busiteema university.
The main objective of this activity is to first and foremost jumpstart the engines of the SOCIETY. As a society we shall be looking at starting conversations between the young and the old generation in this career we have all chosen to be in.
Students in the above listed universities are going to be encouraged to write their names on a given list that will include also their phone contacts and email addresses. We shall discuss their challenges and market ourselves to them as people trying to bridge the gap between them and their future employers. Having these lists of names makes our work more convenient in trying to build a solid foundation for the future of this society.

2. ALUMNI GET TOGETHER AND HANDOVER DINNER:
From having the university tours in the months of February and March. And having our social media platforms getting content and buzz. It would be good to have the alumni get on board with the society’s activities too.
The objective of this activity is to create a platform for people who are unemployed and the employed to start a conversation informally. With this we create an atmosphere of TOGETHERNESS.
We shall also be getting the names of attendees, their contacts, and email addresses. We shall also be encouraging subscription payment for the society. For those who also want to sponsor students, this too shall be suggested.

3. CONFERENCE 2024:
This will be the highlight of our calendar 2024. We are looking at having guest speakers speak on this day, so as to paint a picture of the Geoscience world. The sectors include; Petroleum, Water, Mining, Environment, Construction
This activity is to run hand in hand with the 2 activities listed above. We shall be advertising this conference to the students and all the alumni in the forum. Because the year has just started, its good to engage these companies that we want to be on board as early as possible before their calendars are filled up.
